System Safety Engineer
You will ensure our projects follow Systems Assurance processes, thereby ensuring compliance with required functional and safety standards. This will involve all aspects of the technical design of a system from concept development through detail design, installation, testing and verification, production, and in-service support that the contractual requirements are met.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Influencing, setting, managing, and ensuring an appropriate level of system engineering is provided to the projects or other defined scopes of work.
Providing support to progress and resolve novel, complex or critical work within their discipline(s).
Coordinating with systems assurance programs on designing projects through planning, implementing, and reporting activities.
Evaluating the project design process against the requirements for systems engineering on a continuing basis.
Maintaining a Computer Aided Systems Engineering (CASE) package in product design
Your skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification or extensive experience in System Safety/ Risk/ Reliability/ Systems Engineering
Extensive work experience in a safety-critical industries like Rail, Defense, Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil & Gas
Should hold strong experience in RAMs & Compliance and regulatory bodies like ASA (Asset Standards Authority)
Familiar with the system lifecycle stages and their impacts on systems engineering and safety assurance activities.
