Structural Engineer
Responsibilities
Assist in the design development task for design projects with other disciplines engineers.
Assist in coordination workshops internally with internal stakeholders and externally with Consultants and Contractors.
Review the engineering design documents, including drawings, Specifications, BOQs and others.
Good understanding of Authorities and utilities agencies technical requirements and processes for obtaining NOCs and design approvals.
Review other engineering disciplines’ design documents (i.e. Arch., Structural & MEP design documents) to confirm full coordination and inter-discipline check.
Ensuring all design documents comply with government and authorities regulations & internal & external Stakeholders’ requirements.
Coordinate the work with other Engineers and draftsmen to ensure quality deliverables.
Guiding contractors in any relevant technical and coordination issues and responding to technical clarifications.
Daily & weekly reporting of work and progress & updates to Project managers.
Ensure that quality deliverables, timely manner submissions, and project scope requirements are successfully met.
Familiarity with the market best practices, common and up-to-date materials & systems.
Ensure cost optimization of designs and work within budget limitations.
Interpret stakeholders’ requirements and implement the same in the Design and contractor’s scope of work.
Conduct site visits and quality audits on the construction activities.
Work on other tasks assigned by management as necessary.
Communicate effectively & efficiently internally & externally and forms themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
