Teaching Assistant for Business Administration
Minimum Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in business administration or a related area from an accredited university.
Preferred:
• A graduate degree in business administration or a related area;
• Experience as a teaching assistant in any course or outreach;
• Experience as a peer tutor/supplemental instructor at CMU or similar institutions.
Duties:
• Support courses as assigned by the department head;
• Assist students in learning material and providing technical help, 1:1 tutoring and group tutoring;
• Hold recitations on a weekly basis;
• Grade quizzes, assignments, case reports, tests and exams;
• Assist the program with outreach events, and other program-related activities;
Skills required:
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to work independently;
• Proficiency in R (or similar programming language) and Excel is required;
• Familiarity with financial databases, such as Bloomberg.
