1. Pottery Designer & Ceramist

The Pottery Designer & Ceramist is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and creating ceramic pieces that combine both aesthetic appeal and functional utility. This role involves working with various types of clay, glazes, and ceramic techniques to produce original pottery and ceramic art. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic vision, technical skills, and an understanding of contemporary ceramic practices.

Job Description:

• Design and Creation: Develop original designs for pottery and ceramic pieces. Utilize wheel throwing, hand-building, and sculpting techniques to create ceramic works. Experiment with different types of clays, glazes, and firing processes.
• Technical Skills: Operate and maintain pottery wheels, kilns, and other ceramic equipment. Mix and apply glazes, stains, and other decorative elements. Perform glazing and firing processes to achieve desired finishes.
• Product Development: Collaborate with the design team to develop new product lines. Prototype and refine designs based on feedback and testing. Ensure consistency and quality in all ceramic pieces produced.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the ceramic production process.
• Teaching and Collaboration: Conduct workshops and provide training to junior staff or students in ceramic techniques. Collaborate with other artists, designers, and departments on joint projects.
• Studio Management: Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Manage inventory of materials and supplies. Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the studio.

One of our affiliated companies, Stretch Lab fitness Center Qatar, is seeking personal trainers, massage therapists, physical therapists who are proficient in manual therapy to join our team as Stretchologist. We are looking for professionals who are skilled in PNF stretching, passive assisted stretching and manual therapy techniques. A strong background in functional health consultative skill is also preferred. This is an amazing opportunity to gain experience in a new modality and to increase your expertise in this field.

The primary goal of Stretch Lab is to help treat the body in order to maximize an individual’s daily productivity and increase their quality of life through assisted stretches.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions (25 or 50 minutes)
• Follow internal work standards including the protocol for all client treatment documents
• Implement effective stretching techniques to treat and manage body pain.
• Skilled in traction, dynamic mobilization, soft tissue release
• Encourage, motivate and educate clients throughout stretch sessions about benefits of stretching on the body
• Help to increase memberships and retain customers
• Provide an exceptional customer service experience
• Assist the Manager and Sales/Front Desk staff with studio "tours" for prospective members, provide trial sessions and promote the various packages to customers when needed
• Ensure the safety of clients by focusing on effective stretching/manual therapy techniques and enforce all Stretch Lab policies and safety rules
• Be proactive on All Stretch Labs social media platform to like, comment and share uploads
• Attend team meetings and required educational training & presentations.
• Clean & maintain all assistive aids for every customer
• Handle member concerns when applicable and direct them to management or the reception team
