Job Description:
Oversees machine set up to make sure arrangement is safe and ready to handle its assigned load prior to operation
Analyze the required part/parts and translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
Loads / unloads material into the machine.
Performs the required milling operation and ensures that the work is following the company's operating and safety standards.
Regularly inspects the machine for mechanical and safety issues.
Makes sure machine tools & and bits remain well-stocked to avoid interruptions of service.
Examines machine production output to verify the product is acceptable to move on to the next part of the production process.
Maintains and updates records about the machine's operations.
