Senior Manager Data & AI
This role is responsible for leading Data and AI technical team, technical design, platform implementation, modification and application support on both private and hyperscale’s public cloud including new business & data products and change requests for DWH, Datalake, BI, Data virtualization platform and AI.
Role Accountabilities:
• Leads the team that is responsible for technical design, platform implementation, modification and application support for below applications and platforms including new business & data products and change requests: DWH, Datalake, BI, ETL processes, reporting, data virtualization platform and AI
• Involves in all critical decisions regarding Data & AI related initiatives and projects in conjunction with senior management
• Lead innovating best practices by incorporating new trends and approaches, like establishing data products
• Promotes data driven culture, technology driven innovation through AI and best practice to support core telecom product development implementations, evaluate and implement opportunities to enhance and improve efficiency
• Interfaces with Demand Management to understand requirements from other BUs on an ongoing basis
• Develops and maintains Data and AI systems & tools plan and architecture in alignment with the overall data architecture and technology strategy
• Drives the development of of in-house capabilities for configuration-based products and services & data products
• Oversees the definition of requirements for vendor and partner selections and leads technical discussions in vendor / partnership negotiations; leads the collaboration with Procurement throughout the sourcing process; leads vendor / partner management on an ongoing basis
• Manages the implementation of SLAs with relevant BUs and process owners
• Oversees the process of eliciting requirements for reports and analysis
• Applies professional project management tools and techniques for effective management of Data and AI projects
• Makes all critical decisions regarding new projects such as scope changes, resource plans and implementation schedules in conjunction with department manager
• Promotes best practice operations, evaluates and implements opportunities to enhance and improve efficiency
• Leads the documentation and the development of manuals to help users use Data and AI tools elements
• Oversees the handover of new platforms / products to operation teams and provides level 3 customer support
• Leads the process of monitoring and management of own department KPIs in order to meet defined targets, and manages timely reporting of KPIs to Performance Management
• Formulates annual operational plans and budgets for own area and ensures its effective execution after approval; owns and oversees department P&L
• Serves as a subject matter expert for all issues relating to Data and AI systems & tools.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software or Telecom Engineering
Minimum Experience, Essential Knowledge & Skills:
10 years' experience in a similar role. Experience in Telecom or IT with significant skills in DATA and AI domain and BAU operation.
