Senior Risk Specialist
The role supports the Head of Risk Management to establish and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework which enables the identification, assessment, management, and regular reporting of strategic risks that impact the achievement of QAFCO’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Review and update as required QAFCO's Risk Appetite in consultation with the Management team.
Support the Head of Risk Management in coordination, preparation, and follow-up for QAFCO’s ERM Committee meetings.
Lead the development and ongoing operation of QAFCO's enterprise risk management (ERM) framework and associated centralized systems, and reporting to the QAFCO Management team and ERM Committee.
Lead the development and maintenance of standards and procedures for the ERM framework.
Provide risk management guidance relating to interfaces between the ERM framework and other risk management frameworks.
Coordination and preparation for the annual review of QAFCO's Strategic Risk profile
Support facilitation and follow up with Management team members to confirm and update strategic risks.
Track progress of mitigation plans for each of the top strategic risks, providing regular updates.
Provide updates to the strategic risk reports for the ERM Committee and Management team, and to risk reports required by the State Audit Bureau.
Liaise with Management stakeholders and ERM Focal Points to ensure coordinated operation of the ERM framework.
Collate risk reports from Divisions and Departments to inform and update on strategic risks.
Liaise with ERM Focal Points and foster a positive approach and attitude to risk management.
Provide training to ERM focal points on risk identification, assessment, and development of mitigation plans.
Liaise with the industry to align with best risk management practices.
Maintain BCM and Crisis Management frameworks and lead related testing, reporting, training and awareness requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance or Engineering.
8 years of direct experience in the similar role preferably within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Fertilizer Industry.
