MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy in accordance with Group Security guidelines and security minimum standards, i n order to ensure that appropriate a n d cost-effective security measures/countermeasures are in place to maintain a secure working environment for employees.
Represents Group Security in local and / or regional projects.
Assess the security risks and in doing so develop an understanding of specific security risks and challenges within the assigned region.
Establish good liaison with security professionals in the public, private, commercial sector and security associations, in an effort to enhance cooperation on security risk matters. Initiate the development and structure of a security contact network.
Oversee, supervise and control/audit security and fire protection concepts for new plants, extension of plants, new office buildings, R&D sites and test tracks, etc. Establish a concept to be part of new local/regional planning’s and ensure that the initiators generate appropriate budgets for security measures in the overall project budgets.
Supervise the acquisition of security technology such as surveillance systems, fencing, etc. in accordance with Group Security guidelines and security minimum standards.
Advice and report the management in all security and fire protection related topics.
Initiate, implement and control concepts and measures for the protection of prototypes, operating and business secrets as well as know-how protection.
Assure the security for Board and /or top management members by all means such as secure housing, executive protection if necessary, screening of domestic servants (driver / cleaning staff etc.) and other purposes.
Develop security concepts for special events such as car shows and car clinics.
Observing and assessing the development of the overall security situation (terrorism, crime) and possible effects on the Volkswagen Group; initiate protective counter measures.
Maintain and develop crisis management structures and procedures for the protection of employees and infrastructure and be part of the local/regional Crisis Management Team.
Advise management and Foreign Service Employees (FSE) in making informed judgments with regards to personal security measures, both locally and when travelling/visiting high risk areas/countries (e.g. housing concept).
Implement travel security policies / systems in accordance with Group standards and in closed cooperation with Group Security.
Maintain the Group Location Database for the Region and its periodical review in close cooperation with Group Security.
Conduct security risk assessments/audits in the area of responsibility and negotiate any possible weaknesses in this regard with the ultimate aim of minimizing the security risks at these concerns.
Coordinating responses to particular threats against the Volkswagen Group entities in the area of responsibility, such as extortion, black mailing & coordination with the police as well as Group Security.
Oversee, plan, organize and steer the plant securities (guard services and fire brigades) in the area of responsibility such as passenger and freight controls, organizational equipment, budgeting etc.; comply with all legal requirements in the fields of Security and Fire Protection to make sure, that operating permits remain valid.
Responsible for selection, education, training and grading of guard services and fire brigades.
Supervise external security contractors; ensure the quality in security contractor selection and tender procedures aligned with Group security standards.
Monthly reporting about security related topics to Group Security - serious security incidents have to be reported immediately.
Support Group Security in the ´2nd Line of Defence´- approach to ensure compliance with VW Group Guideline 13 ´Security´ and the Minimum Security Standards.
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS DEPENDING ON FUNCTION
Mandatory:
With respect to the Group Security Strategy the position holder hereby agrees to add at least one of her/his function related objectives during the annual employee dialogue in accordance with the Chief Security Officer Volkswagen Group.
Individual:
Act as Group Security representative for the ´Whistle blower Investigation Process´ as stated in the VW Group Policy No.3
Ensure close cooperation and communication with other brands on the regional level
Act as Group Security regional contact for all Group companies in case of security incidents and/or emergencies
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Surveillance Skills
Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedure.
Manage Multiple Tasks.
Minimum 5 years’ experience.
PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Fluency in German (written and spoken)
Proficiency in MS office
VW Group related knowledge – understanding of the corporate structure of VWAG and experience in stakeholder identification within the Group.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Law
International LLM (Master’s Degree in Law)
Experience in International Corporate Law
Qualification in IT Law related matters desirable
Knowledge of Data Protection policies desirable
