Senior Data Scientist – Deep Learning
You must be a Senior Data Scientist, working within the Banking/Financial Services sector. You should have a solid background in data science, machine learning, and deep learning, along with strong programming expertise.
Candidates should already be based in Doha, Qatar to be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy deep learning models (like transformers) and algorithms to solve complex business problems and generate actionable insights in the Banking and Payment space.
Work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, and engineers, to understand requirements, define project goals, and develop data-driven solutions.
Analyse large, complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations. Clean, transform, and preprocess data to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
Communicate complex analytical findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
Qualifications
7+ years of professional experience in data science, deep learning and machine learning.
Banking/Financial Services domain knowledge is essential
Solid understanding of Deep Learning techniques with practical implementation and deployment experience.
Strong, hands-on experience with statistical and predictive modelling (e.g., ROC curve, Lift and Gain Chart), and machine learning algorithms.
Strong programming languages experience with tools such as Python, R, or Scala.
Solid understanding of database systems, SQL, and data manipulation techniques.
Experience with big data frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark and Databricks.
Excellent data visualization and communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
