Tender Engineer

Role Description
- Ritz Serve is seeking a Full-time Tender Engineer for an on-site role in Doha, Qatar. The Tender Engineer will be responsible for preparing and submitting tenders that meet client requirements. The role requires excellent communication skills, technical understanding, and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Preparation:
Develop and prepare comprehensive tender documents, including technical specifications, terms and conditions, and pricing schedules.
Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for tender submissions.
Ensure alignment of tender documents with project goals, client requirements, and industry standards.
Cost Estimation:
Work closely with project managers and cost estimators to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for tender submissions.
Analyze cost breakdowns and provide input to enhance cost competitiveness.
Bid Coordination:
Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids in accordance with tender requirements and deadlines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the tender are addressed.
Risk Analysis:
Conduct risk assessments related to tender submissions and propose strategies to mitigate identified risks.
Analyze and understand the potential challenges and opportunities associated with each tender.
Market Research:
Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and competitors to enhance the organization's competitiveness in the bidding process.
Provide input on pricing strategies based on market conditions.
Client Relationship:
Interact with clients during the tendering process to clarify requirements, address queries, and build positive relationships.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure that all tender documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all tender-related documents.
Presentation Skills:
- Prepare and deliver presentations as part of the tender submission process.
- Clearly communicate technical and commercial aspects to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in engineering, or a related field is required.
- In-depth knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including its processes, technologies, and market dynamics.
- Strong understanding of the tendering process, including the ability to prepare comprehensive and competitive tender documents.
- Experience in cost estimation and the ability to work with project teams to develop accurate project cost estimates.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing tender documents, engaging with clients, and collaborating with internal teams.
- Ability to analyze technical and commercial aspects of tenders, including risk assessment and market trends.
- Thoroughness in reviewing and preparing tender documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Basic negotiation skills to address commercial aspects during the tendering process.
- Familiarity with project management principles to coordinate tender activities effectively.
