Parsons is now looking to hire an experienced Senior Contracts & Commercial Manager to work on a metro project that will change the fabric of our community. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your contract and commercial knowledge, will provide the opportunity for further advancement.
In this role, you will manage all contract and commercial activities for the Client for a major project. Ability to perform in a management capacity is considered as essential.
What You'll Be Doing:
Participates in Department, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.).
Provides contractual and commercial guidance to assigned personnel and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.
Manages staffing task assignments and reassignments as per the Client’s and project needs arise.
Collaborates with Department and project management to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.
Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients.
May represent the Company at government procurement regulatory and policymaking committee hearings and at industry association committees dealing with Federal Procurement Policy initiatives that will have an impact on the industry.
Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
W hat Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 20 years of prime contract administration experience is required plus MRICS or FRICS.
Prior contracts/commercial management experience on a rail/metro project experience is preferred
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
Incumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
Working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
