Back Office Transmission Engineer
We are now looking for a Back office Transmission Engineer with good hands-on Managed services ways of working. He will be responsible for coordination, support, management, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.
What You Will Do

Working in 24/5 shifts
Working on-call in weekends when required
2nd line fixing for transmission related outages and degraded issues on the below Equipment’s/ Systems using STC Trouble Tickets System (RTTS):
TN 2p, 6p, 20p (R6)
ML6600
R6000

Daily work includes using the following Ericsson ENM
Support and guide NFM/FO-TX on fixing for Trouble Tickets related to Transmission.
Support other teams for their E-to-E fixing (BO-Access, TNOC/SDH, GPON, Cisco)
Follow up with the design team for the transmission design issues (MW/LB/DCN, SDH/CWO, IPMPLS, and GPON).
Generate MW performance reports and MW utilization reports through SO-EM if required and take the necessary actions.
Attend Transmission committees for investigation and analysis purposes.
MDT/TCN approval and verifications for transmission activities.
Audit transmission network when required.
Opening/Follow-up CSR’s with 3rd line support when required.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and configuration change
You will bring
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Engineering Major)
5 years IP Experience
Router 6000
SSR/SE or Cisco or Juniper
Routing and Switching
MPLS
OSPF
BGP
QoS
VRRP
BFD
5 years of Transmission Experience
TN, PT, ML MW, XPIC
SDH nodes
DWDM
5 years 2nd line support / TAC is a must
Cisco and Ericsson certification for IP network is preferable.
Strong knowledge of IP, static and dynamic routing protocols
Experience in HP switches or routers (e.g. 5930-32QSFP+ Switch, HP 6125XLG Blade Switch, Brocade 16Gb/16c SAN)
Ericsson Core, access and charging system IP connectivity fixing skills and knowledge is preferable
Cloud and virtualization knowledge and experience will be added advantage
Telecom Experience is a plus
Script understanding and writing is a plus
Working in 24/5 shifts
Working on-call in weekends when required
