Senior QA/QC Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior QA/QC Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to be part of the supervising team to monitor the preparation and establishment of the quality assurance.

What You'll Be Doing

The QA/QC Engineer is part of the Supervising team who will monitor the preparation and establishment of the Quality Assurance (QA) by the contractors. The QA/QC Engineer will assist the QA/QC Manager in monitoring the implementation of the Parsons’ Management System in compliance with the Parsons Corporate policies, International Standards and Client’s requirements.

Monitors and audits the quality related activities, set forth in the Quality Plans, to confirm that products or services provided are in accordance with client requirements.

Periodically conducts detailed audits to assess the level of compliance with the QA/QC systems, procedures, and related-quality activities. As assigned by the QA/QC Manager, he may interact with Senior Resident Engineer and Resident Engineers to assess on-site activities (client‘s design and/or construction contractors) and reports and provides regular updates to the QA/QC Manager.

Supports the preparation and issuance of project specific Quality Plans, QA/QC processes and procedures in compliance with client’s quality requirements; and monitors that these are implemented effectively, as assigned by QA/QC Manager.

Performs QA audits (internal and/or external), reviews, surveillances and follow-ups.

Identifies and reports to the QA/QC Manager on quality issues or trends based on data from a variety of sources.

Supports implementation of appropriate corrective action to quality issues (internal and Contractor’s).

Provides input to QA/C Manager on projects performance metrics, and process or procedural system improvements.

Coordinates Lessons Learnt process for the Project, following up Project personnel and reporting accordingly.

Participates in Quality Meetings.

Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by the Programme QA/QC Manager.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited University to the approval of the Engineer.

Minimum 15 years demonstrable experience, of which 7 years in similar large scale infrastructures projects.

Experience in quality control and quality assurance of sewerage, surface and water, drainage, outfalls, pump stations, treatment works, road, highways construction quality and control requirement;

Particular emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality;

Control. Should be able to review and justify the material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, carrying out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project's specifications. Ability to prepare accurate QA/QC plans and have the ability to lead, cooperate and motivate a project QC team, write clear, brief and accurate technical reports.

Must demonstrate and prove of experience in respect of the relevant international Standards for Quality Assurance procedure;

Candidates should participate in the all aspects for the project life cycle, from setting out, Designs, construction, testing and commissioning stage, with emphasis on data analysis, system testing, regression testing, and auditable documentation of results;

Initiate, plan and follow up closely on Project Close Out Requirement from the project inception on contractor submission to the approval of concern stake holders, department and authorities to the satisfaction of the Engineers not limited to Drainage Operation and Maintenance Department, Road Maintenance Department, EBD-DCU Municipalities, etc.

Coordination, monitoring and follow up between external and internal stake holders to obtain the necessary clearances for the projects close out clearances.
