Senior Geoscientist
About the job
Fusion Outsourcing Services is looking to hire a Senior Geoscientist for one of our clients based in Qatar.
Overview:
This role requires detailed PLT interpretation of gas production rates from multiple perforated zones & formations – interpretation of single shut-in, multiple flow rates, and time-lapse analysis using Emeraude. This requires data resampling, depth stretch-matching (using Techlog), calibration of spinners, creation of complex multi-track Techlog displays, and creation of comprehensive PLT written reports. You will edit & adapt excel spreadsheets for flow unit calculations and interact with customers on a frequent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual or theoretical activities related to any of various sciences, such as geology, geography, geophysics and geomorphology, that are concerned with oil exploration and development.
Expected to interpret cased hole gas well PLT's through the application of acquired expertise.
Work together with people from the business unit, towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
Communicates with direct team and supervisor.
Presents to internal teams on project status and interpretation quality.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar O&G
related.10+ years’ of experience in O&G industry.
5 years PLT log interpretation experience.
Middle East PLT interpretation especially gas wells.
Cased hole logging interpretation.
PLT Interpretation software experience - Emeraude
