Specialist – Clinical Integration
This role plays a vital part in ensuring seamless data flow within the Cerner HIS system. You will manage the entire interface lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and ongoing support. Your expertise in Cerner and clinical data exchange standards will be instrumental in integrating external systems and ensuring accurate data exchange for optimal patient care.
Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to understand workflow requirements and design effective interfaces within Cerner Millennium.
• Leverage your knowledge of Cerner FSI interfaces using Open engine and open link to design and develop integrations.
• Configure interfaces on both Cerner and external systems to ensure proper data mapping and transmission.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate interface functionality.
• Troubleshoot interface errors, identify root causes, and implement solutions to maintain data integrity.
• Analyse existing Cerner interfaces and specifications to optimize performance and support future integrations.
• Provide ongoing support and consultation on Cerner integrations, ensuring best practices and adherence to regulatory standards (HIPAA, HL7, etc.).
• Maintain and update interface documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Able to manage multiple integration projects at corporate level.
Job Knowledge & Skills
• In-depth knowledge of Cerner Millennium architecture and functionality.
• Expertise in clinical data exchange standards (HL7 v2, v3, FHIR, DICOM etc.).
• Experience with Cerner FSI interface development tools (Open engine and Open link.).
• Knowledge on Cerner medical devices integrations, CCL scripting.
• Knowledge of Web services, REST APIs and XML.
