Senior HSE Design Engineer

About Job

The Senior HSE Design Engineer is responsible for executing responsibilities within a project to the effect of assisting the Lead HSED Engineer in ensuring that all design and drafting output for the discipline is carried out on schedule, within budget and to the complete satisfaction of the Client. He / She reports functionally to the Head of Discipline and operationally to the Lead Engineer.

Key responsibilities of the HSED Engineer are:

Implementing the safety/ loss prevention requirements for a project in accordance with client’s and codes requirements and ensuring that it is implemented by providing relevant inputs to key disciplines.

Involved in conceptualizing and developing the preliminary / Screening level HSE / Safety philosophy

Experienced in both Onshore and Offshore HSE design activities

Developing of Safety/ Loss Prevention Philosophies and Drawings such as Fire & Gas Detector Layouts, Fire & Gas Cause & Effect, Fire Protection P&ID’s, and Hazardous Area Classifications.

Development of safety and equipment specifications.

Reviewing Plot Plans & Develop Safety Layouts

Reviewing Vendor Documents.

Coordination and review of subcontracted studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA, FERA, Dropped Object, Ship Collision, EERA, ESSA, RAM, F&G mapping, SCE&PS etc.,

Technical evaluation of vendor bids and technical bid tabulation

Supervision of site activities for Safety related issues if required

Preparation/Review of purchase requisitions for safety related items

Participation in Safety workshops, model reviews, constructability reviews and COMPANY reviews

Guiding Junior engineers within the project for successful completion of activities

Completion of project deliverables within the allocated budget and time frame

Interaction with Clients if required

Main Requirements

Bachelor of Chemical Engineering

Minimum 10+ years of experience in similar EPIC environment

Basic knowledge of: MS Office

Advanced knowledge of:

DNV PHAST

Pipenet (Spray sprinkler module / Transient module)

Fire Protection Design (Passive & Active)

Quantitative Risk Assessment / Safety studies

Dispersion, Radiation and Explosion Analysis

يتولى مهندس التصميم الرئيسي للصحة والسلامة والبيئة مسؤولية تنفيذ المسؤوليات ضمن المشروع لمساعدة مهندس الصحة والسلامة والبيئة الرئيسي في ضمان تنفيذ جميع مخرجات التصميم والرسم التخطيطي للتخصص في الموعد المحدد وفي حدود الميزانية وبما يرضي العميل تمامًا. ويقدم تقاريره وظيفيًا إلى رئيس التخصص وعمليًا إلى المهندس الرئيسي.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية لمهندس HSED هي:

تنفيذ متطلبات السلامة / منع الخسائر للمشروع وفقًا لمتطلبات العميل والرموز والتأكد من تنفيذها من خلال توفير المدخلات ذات الصلة للتخصصات الرئيسية.

المشاركة في تصور وتطوير فلسفة الصحة والسلامة والبيئة على المستوى الأولي / مستوى الفحص

خبرة في أنشطة تصميم الصحة والسلامة والبيئة البرية والبحرية

تطوير فلسفات ورسومات السلامة / منع الخسائر مثل مخططات أجهزة الكشف عن الحرائق والغاز، وأسباب وتأثيرات الحرائق والغاز، ومخططات الحماية من الحرائق، وتصنيفات المناطق الخطرة.

تطوير مواصفات السلامة والمعدات.

مراجعة مخططات الأرض وتطوير مخططات السلامة

مراجعة مستندات البائعين.

تنسيق ومراجعة الدراسات الفرعية مثل HAZID و HAZOP و SIL و QRA و FERA و Dropped Object و Ship Collision و EERA و ESSA و RAM و F&G mapping و SCE&PS وما إلى ذلك،

التقييم الفني لعطاءات البائعين وجدول العطاءات الفنية

الإشراف على أنشطة الموقع فيما يتعلق بقضايا السلامة إذا لزم الأمر

إعداد/مراجعة طلبات الشراء للمواد المتعلقة بالسلامة
