We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 03+ years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. The goal is to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
Advise on a procurement strategy.
Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
Negotiate and analyze costs for tenders and contracts.
Monitor and control costs throughout the project.
Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reasons for any discrepancies.
Provide advice on contractual claims.
Value completed work and arrange payments.
Maintain awareness of the different building contracts that are currently being used.
Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 03 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
Professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or other relevant institutions is preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with relevant software.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
