Cost Control Manager - Oil & Gas 

As a Cost Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control activities within our projects in the Oil and Gas and Power Plant sector. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budgetary constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement cost control procedures and processes to effectively monitor project budgets and expenditures.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, forecasts, and budgets for projects, taking into account factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.

Monitor project progress and expenditures on a regular basis to identify potential cost overruns or deviations from budgetary targets.

Analyze cost variances and discrepancies and provide recommendations for corrective actions to project stakeholders.

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure that cost control measures are integrated into project planning and execution.

Review and approve contractor invoices, change orders, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.

Prepare regular reports and presentations on project cost performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas of concern to senior management.

Conduct cost audits and reviews as necessary to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to cost control and recommend relevant changes or enhancements to existing processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.

Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in cost control or project controls management, preferably in the Oil and Gas or Power Plant industry.

Strong understanding of project management principles, cost estimation techniques, and financial analysis methods.

Proficiency in cost control software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle Primavera, Microsoft Excel).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of Qatar's regulatory requirements and industry standards is desirable.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

إجراء عمليات تدقيق ومراجعة التكاليف حسب الضرورة لتحديد فرص توفير التكاليف وتحسين العمليات.

التعاون مع فرق التمويل والمحاسبة لضمان التتبع الدقيق وإعداد التقارير عن تكاليف المشروع وفقًا لسياسات وإجراءات الشركة.

البقاء على اطلاع على اتجاهات الصناعة وأفضل الممارسات والمتطلبات التنظيمية المتعلقة بضبط التكاليف والتوصية بالتغييرات أو التحسينات ذات الصلة بالعمليات الحالية.

مؤهلات:

درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة أو المالية أو المحاسبة أو مجال ذي صلة. درجة الماجستير أو الشهادة المهنية (على سبيل المثال، CMA أو CPA) تعتبر ميزة إضافية.
