We are seeking a dedicated Commis Pastry to join our dynamic pastry kitchen team. If you have a passion for creating delicious desserts and pastries, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation: Assist in preparing pastry ingredients, including measuring, mixing, and whipping as directed by the Pastry Chef.
- Production: Help produce pastries, cakes, tarts, and other baked goods according to recipes and standards.
- Baking: Operate ovens and other baking equipment, ensuring proper temperature and timing for each item.
- Decoration: Assist with the decoration and presentation of finished products, ensuring they meet aesthetic and quality standards.
- Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
- Stock Management: Assist in managing inventory by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or spoilage.
- Compliance: Follow health and safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices, including proper handling of food and equipment.
- Team Support: Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and assist with tasks in different areas of the kitchen as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or relevant culinary environment preferred but not required. Entry-level candidates with a passion for pastry are welcome.
- Education: Culinary diploma or equivalent training in pastry arts preferred.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry preparation. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Personal Traits: Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot kitchen environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR1,500.00 - QAR2,000.00 per month
